Keynote Speaker
Marcus Collins
Author of For the Culture: The Power Behind What We Buy, What We Do, and Who We Want To Be
We are delighted to announce that Marcus Collins will be our 2024 Maize X Blue keynote speaker.
An award-winning marketer, author, and cultural translator, Collins has developed a practice for creating culturally contagious ideas that inspire people to take action. His work has contributed to the success of campaigns for Budweiser, the Brooklyn Nets, State Farm, and many other national brands.
Collins is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Ross School of Business, but his expertise extends beyond academia. Before joining the Ross faculty, he worked with blue-chip clients at nationally renowned ad agencies including Doner and Wieden+Kennedy New York. So he has a unique understanding of brand strategy and consumer behavior from both the academic and corporate perspective.
Collins holds a doctorate in marketing from Temple University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a BSME in Materials Science & Engineering, also from U-M. His most recent book is For the Culture, in which he posits that true cultural engagement is the most powerful vehicle for influencing behavior.
This is sure to be a highlight of the conference. We hope to see you there!
